And these Witchery ‘Debbie’ flats followed my sparkly slippers home!

With various rewards and discounts loaded onto my loyalty card, these came down from $140 to $65. It seemed like the whole store was on megasale, maybe with the Australian retail industry not doing so well lately.
Living in the city, I walk to work and go through black flats like no tomorrow so these will be perfect as my new beater work shoes at least for a few months!

Enjoying my last few days off before work starts again in my sparkly silver Topshop slippers!

Loving cobalt at the moment!

Wearing a cobalt maxi at a wedding last month. I was going to pair it with gold accessories but it looked too “beachy” for the formal theme, so I ended up going black.

Dress: One shoulder cobalt maxi, from random store in the Melbourne Central basement

Shoes: Zara studded T-bar heels in black/nude

Bag: YSL Belle du Jour clutch in black patent

Love + want this! If I go to Paris mid-year, I’m definitely picking up a couple of these for souvenirs.

Revlon - Pink Chiffon
I usually gravitate towards OPI (for the quality), Chanel (for the lovely colours)  or Ulta (for cheap thrills) but I found this bottle at home and decided to give it a go.
It took a billion coats to get it non-streaky but I got there in the end!
The new BlackBerry Bold camera is terrible and doesn’t really get the colour quite right, but I’m looking the opaque pastel pink - reminds me of cupcake frosting!

I love the waves and the extra bouncy bit on the left of the photo - will try and recreate this for the weekend!

Happy belated 2012!

Happy belated 2012!

Every few years or so, I get a sudden urge to start a new blog, only to abandon the whole thing within a month or two. You could say that I decided to try my hand at this yet another time for a few reasons.

1. Relationships

A friend recently suggested to me that I should write a blog…about my love life.

Ever since my four year relationship ended in the first half of 2011, I would say that a lot of ‘interesting’ things have happened in that part of my life. By ‘interesting’ I don’t mean sob stories (I would say that the breakup was relatively amicable and we have both moved on) or jaded tales about how men are pigs (I love men!) etc. They are more events that would really rarely happen in real life, causing some of my close friends to exclaim things like:

“J, SERIOUSLY only that could happen to YOU.”

Obviously, it would be a terrible idea to blog about my love life in the interests of privacy, mutual respect etc. but I do hope to share some ideas and theories from a purely hypothetical point of view (perhaps hypothetical, perhaps not ;) ).

2. There are so many pretty things to share!

Lately, through Tumblr, I have come across so many lovely images that I really want to keep somewhere or share with others. Until now, I’ve just saved those images on my computer or just sent them onto friends.

***

I’m not quite sure how this blog will work out or how Tumblr is really meant to work, but hopefully I’ll get to share a few of the things I find interesting, inspiring and love :)
